'The Return Of... Martha Splatterhead' is the debut album (but second release overall) by The Accused. All tracks fron the the band's earlier E.P. are included.

'Scum' is the debut studio album by Napalm Death. The two sides of the record were recorded by two different lineups in sessions separated by about a year; the only musician in both incarnations was drummer Mick Harris. The two sides are very different, and the two taken together serve to bridge stylistic elements of heavy metal and punk rock. While the songs on the A-side are influenced heavily by hardcore punk and anarcho-punk, the vocals and lower-tuned electric guitars on the B-side anticipate subsequent developments in extreme metal. 'Altars Of Madness' is the debut studio album by Morbid Angel. The album was recorded in December 1988 at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, Florida. The album is one of the earliest examples of death metal and is considered to have helped pioneer the sound along with Possessed's 'Seven Churches' in 1985 and Death's 'Scream Bloody Gore' in 1987, and set a new precedent for heaviness and extremity, both musically and lyrically. It is one of the most celebrated albums in death metal, and one of the most influential heavy metal albums of all time.

'Realm Of Chaos (Slaves To Darkness)' is the second studio album by Bolt Thrower. The cover artwork was produced by Games Workshop. The whole album is closely tied to Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 game background and 'Realm Of Chaos: Slaves To Darkness' was the title of a gaming book by Games Workshop released in 1988.

'Symphonies Of Sickness' is the second studio album by Carcass. This album marked the last time the band had recorded as a three-piece until 2013. With the album the band kept the grindcore sound of their debut, but added more death metal.

'The Haunted' is the debut studio album by The Haunted. Peter Dolving and Adrian Erlandsson both quit at different times after the album, but both returned on different releases.

'System Of A Down' is the debut studio album by System Of A Down. The album was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in February 2000. After the success of the band's following album, Toxicity (2001), it was certified platinum and has since gone double platinum.

'Monkey Puss (Live I n London)' is the first live album by Entombed. It was recorded during the 1992 Gods of Grind tour in London.

'The Haunted Made Me Do It' is the second studio album by The Haunted. The title was meant as a statement against censorship.

'Toxicity' is the second studio album by System Of A Down. Expanding on their 1998 eponymous debut album, Toxicity incorporates more melody, harmonies, and singing than the band's first album. Categorized primarily as alternative metal and nu metal, the album features elements of multiple genres, including folk, progressive rock, jazz, and Armenian and Greek music, including prominent use of instruments like the sitar, banjo, keyboards, and piano. It contains a wide array of political and non-political themes, such as mass incarceration, the CIA, the environment, police brutality, drug addiction, scientific reductionism, and groupies.

'Steal This Album!' is the third studio album by System Of A Down. Produced by Rick Rubin and Daron Malakian, it peaked at number 15 on the US Billboard 200. In early 2002, medium-quality MP3s of the album were released on the internet under the name Toxicity II. The band issued a statement expressing disappointment that fans were hearing material that was unfinished, and they worked to release a completed, better quality version of the album, hence the album title.

'Mezmerize' is the fourth studio album by System Of A Down. Upon its release, the album received acclaim from critics. The album sold over 450,000 copies in its first week (over 200,000 more than Toxicity (2001) did), and immediately topped the Billboard 200. At a length of just over 36 minutes, it is the band's shortest studio album.

'Hypnotize; is the fifth and final studio album by System Of A Down. It was released six months after the release of its companion album Mezmerize (2005). Both albums debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

'Head Down' is the third studio album by Rival Sons. It is the last Rival Sons album recorded by the original line-up, prior to bass player Robin Everhart's departure in August 2013.

'Juvenilia' is the first live album by Morbid Angel. Recorded in during the GRINDCRUSHER tour in November 1989, it was previously released as DVD in 2011.
