'Atlanta' is a live album by Porcupine Tree. It was recorded at the Roxy Theatre, Atlanta, U.S.A on 29 October 2007. The show recording was initially intended for a prospective Porcupine Tree live album, but this decision was later turned down as development of the Anesthetize DVD project began. In the wake of the news regarding Mick Karn's advanced-stage cancer, the band decided to put it out as a downloadable item from the Burning Shed online store at a very cheap cost, with completely printable artwork designed by Carl Glover. The profits from the Atlanta downloads were intended to help Mick pay for his treatment.

Deep Purple are an English rock band formed in London in 1967. They are considered to be among the pioneers of hard rock, but their musical approach has changed over the years. Originally formed as a psychedelic rock and progressive rock band, they shifted to a heavier sound in 1970. Deep Purple, together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, have been referred to as the "unholy trinity of British hard rock and heavy metal in the early to mid-seventies". They have sold over 100 million albums worldwide.

'Lunar Strain' is the debut studio album by In Flames. The album is known for its folk elements, with the inclusion of violins and acoustic guitars along with influences from black metal. It is the only In Flames album to not feature Anders Friden as the vocalist and Bjorn Gelotte as either drummer or lead guitarist. Guitarist Jesper Stromblad plays the drums, while the vocals are sung by Dark Tranquillity vocalist Mikael Stanne, a session musician for In Flames at the time. Coincidentally, Friden was the original vocalist for Dark Tranquillity and he effectively traded places with Stanne in 1995. As of 2010, no members who played on this album are still with the band.

'Skydancer' is the debut studio album by Dark Tranquillity. This release was the last recorded output to feature vocalist Anders Friden, later of In Flames, who was fired and replaced by guitarist Mikael Stanne. Incidentally, Mikael Stanne was the lead vocalist on the first In Flames studio album, Lunar Strain. The album is considered one of the formative releases of the melodic death metal genre, and has been praised for its lyrical content, ambition and complexity, though reviewers and some of the band members have also criticised it for its production, as well as its songwriting, which has been described as unfocused.
Dark Tranquillity is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg. They are considered one of the pioneering acts of the Gothenburg metal scene, which also includes bands such as In Flames and At The Gates. After a nearly three-decade long collaboration of four founding members frequent lineup changes between 2016 and 2021 have left only vocalist Mikael Stanne as an original member, together with long-time keyboardist Martin Brandstrom.

'Primitive Man' is the second studio album by Icehouse. In January 1982, Icehouse founder Iva Davies started recording Primitive Man essentially as a solo project. It was co-produced with Keith Forsey, who later worked with Simple Minds and Billy Idol. Eventually released as an Icehouse album, it reached number 3 on the National album charts.
