'Society's Pact With Satan' is an E.P. by Cathedral. It was recorded in 2012, when the band was still active.

'Cathedral' were a British doom metal band from Coventry, England, U.K. The group gained attention upon release of its debut album, Forest Of Equilibrium (1991), which is considered a classic of the genre. However, the band's sound evolved quickly and began to adopt characteristics of 1970s metal, hard rock and progressive rock. After releasing ten full-length albums and touring extensively for over two decades, Cathedral broke up after the release of The Last Spire in 2013.

The Living End is an Australian punk rockabilly band from Melbourne, formed in 1994. The band rose to fame in 1997 after the release of their E.P. 'Second Solution / Prisoner Of Society', which peaked at No. 4 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart. The Band was nominated 27 times and won five awards at the Australian ARIA Music Awards ceremonies. In October 2010, their debut album was listed in the book "100 Best Australian Albums". They have also achieved moderate chart success in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.

It was released as an octuple vinyl box set in October 2025, after some delays in production, via the website of Billy Corgan's Madame Zuzu's tea shop. The set consists of material from the band's 2000 albums MACHINA / The Machines Of God and MACHINA II / The Friends & Enemies Of Modern Music. The band broke up shortly after the release of the latter record, with Corgan saying he considered the entire Machina project unfinished. The set includes a 48 track version of the MACHINA album, as well as 32 bonus tracks. It includes some re-recorded songs, and all the material has been remixed and remastered.

Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in 1981 by vocalist and guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, and has been based in San Francisco for most of its career. The band's fast tempos, instrumentals and aggressive musicianship made them one of the founding "big four" bands of thrash metal, alongside Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. Metallica's current lineup comprises founding members and primary songwriters Hetfield and Ulrich, longtime lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo. Guitarist Dave Mustaine, who formed Megadeth after being fired from Metallica, and bassists Ron McGovney, Cliff Burton and Jason Newsted are former members of the band. The band first found commercial success with the release of its third album, 'Master Of Puppets' (1986), which is cited as the band's best work. The band's fifth album, 'Metallica' (1991), was a turning point for the band that saw them transition from their thrash roots - it appealed to a more mainstream audience, achieving substantial commercial success and selling more than 16 million copies in the United States to date, making it the best-selling album of the SoundScan era. After experimenting with different genres and directions in subsequent releases, Metallica returned to its thrash metal roots in 2008.
