'The Bright Midnight Archive Series, Live In Detroit' is a live album by The Doors. It was recorded at the Cobo Arena in Detroit on May 8, 1970 during the band's 1970 Roadhouse Blues Tour. The concert is one of the longest live performances by The Doors. The concert was originally scheduled to end before midnight but ran on until one in the morning. This late end, against union rules, saw the band being banned from the Cobo Arena.

The Doors were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965, with vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore. They were among the most influential and controversial rock acts of the 1960s, primarily due to Morrison's lyrics and voice, along with his erratic stage persona and legal issues. The group is widely regarded as an important figure of the era's counterculture. The Doors were the first American band to accumulate eight consecutive gold albums. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), they have sold 34 million albums in the United States and over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time. Rolling Stone magazine ranked them 41st on its list of the "100 Greatest Artists Of All Time", and in 1993 they were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

'Live Right Here, Right Now' is the first live album by Van Halen. It was the only live album by Van Halen until the release of Tokyo Dome, Live In Concert in 2015 featuring David Lee Roth and the band's only live album featuring Sammy Hagar until the release of Live In Dallas 1991 in 2024.

Van Halen was an American rock band formed in Pasadena, California, U.S.A. in 1973. Credited with restoring hard rock to the forefront of the music scene, Van Halen was known for their energetic live performances and the virtuosity of their guitarist, Eddie Van Halen. From 1974 to 1985, Van Halen consisted of Eddie Van Halen, his brother, drummer Alex Van Halen, lead vocalist David Lee Roth, and bassist Michael Anthony. In 1985, Roth left the band to embark on a solo career and was replaced by former Montrose lead vocalist Sammy Hagar. With Hagar, the group released four U.S. number-one, multi-platinum albums over the course of 11 years. Roth returned in 2006, and Anthony was replaced on bass guitar by Eddie's son, Wolfgang Van Halen. Eddie was diagnosed with cancer in 2001, and died of the disease on October 6, 2020. A month after his father's death, Wolfgang confirmed that Van Halen had disbanded. As of March 2019, Van Halen is 20th on the RIAA's list of best-selling artists in the United States; the band has sold 56 million albums in the U.S. and more than 80 million worldwide, making them one of the best-selling groups of all time.
