Fleetwood Mac

Fleetwood Mac
Fleetwood Mac [Album]

24 February 1968

'Fleetwood Mac' (often referred to as 'Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac') is the debut studio album by Fleetwood Mac. The album is a mixture of blues covers and originals penned by guitarists Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer, who also share the vocal duties. It is the only album by the band without any involvement of keyboardist/vocalist Christine McVie. The release of the album brought the band overnight success; in the U.K., the album reached No. 4 and stayed on the charts 37 weeks, despite the lack of a hit single. Even though the album has sold over a million copies in the U.K., it has never received a certification there. The album barely made the charts in the U.S., reaching No. 198.

Mr. Wonderful [Album]

23 August 1968

'Mr. Wonderful' is the second studio album by Fleetwood Mac. This all-blues album was broadly similar to their debut album, albeit with some changes to personnel and recording method. The album was recorded live in the studio with miked amplifiers and PA system, rather than plugged into the board. A horn section was introduced and Christine Perfect (later Christine McVie) was featured on keyboards. The album took a total of four days to record.

Then Play On

Fleetwood Mac
Then Play On [Album]

9 September 1969

'Then Play On' is the third studio album by Fleetwood Mac. It was the first of their original albums to feature Danny Kirwan (although two tracks recorded with him were included on the compilation album 'The Pious Bird Of Good Omen' released earlier in 1969) and the last with Peter Green. The album offered a broader stylistic range than the straightforward electric blues of the group's first two albums, displaying elements of folk rock, hard rock, art rock and psychedelia. The album reached No. 6 on the U.K. Albums Chart, becoming the band's fourth Top 20 LP in a row, as well as their third album to reach the Top 10.

Rumours

Fleetwood Mac
Rumours [Album]

4 February 1977

'Rumours' is the eleventh studio album by Fleetwood Mac. The recording sessions took place in the aftermath of several relationship breakups among the band members in addition to heavy drug use, both of which shaped the album's direction and lyrics. The album was an instant commercial success, selling over 10 million copies worldwide within just a month of its release. It garnered widespread acclaim from critics, with praise centred on its production quality and vocal harmonies, which frequently relied on the interplay among the band's three vocalists, and which has subsequently inspired the work of musical acts in various genres. It won Album of the Year at the 1978 Grammy Awards and received Diamond certifications in several countries, including the U.K., Canada, Australia, and the U.S., in where it is certified 21? Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It has sold over 40 million copies worldwide, making it the 5th best-selling album of the 1970s and the 9th best-selling album of all time.

Tango In The Night

Fleetwood Mac
Tango In The Night [Album]

13 April 1987

'Tango In The Night' is the fourteenth studio album by Fleetwood Mac. As a result of Lindsey Buckingham's departure later that year, it is the fifth and final studio album with the band's most successful lineup of Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Stevie Nicks, though Christine McVie would make guest appearances on the band's 2003 album, 'Say You Will'. This lineup was not seen again until 1997's live album 'The Dance'.
