The album is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential heavy metal albums of all time, often cited as a key influence for the development of the genre as well as one of its earliest albums. It was ranked number one on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Metal Albums Of All Time" in 2017 and number 139 on its The 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time list in 2020. It was the band's only album to top the U.K. Albums Chart until the release of '13' in 2013.

'Heaven And Hell' is the ninth studio album by Black Sabbath. It was the first album to feature vocalist Ronnie James Dio, who replaced original vocalist Ozzy Osbourne in 1979. The album was a commercial success, particularly in the United States, where it reached number 28 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified platinum for one million sales. In the U.K. it sold well enough to be certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry in April 1982.

'Live At Last' is the first live album by Black Sabbath. Despite its wide distribution and success (it peaked at No.?5 on the U.K. Albums Chart), the album was released without the permission or knowledge of the band. The album was, however, technically released legally by the band's former manager Patrick Meehan who owned the rights to the recording. It was re-released with the approval of the band in 2002 as part of the two-disc 'Past Lives' set.

'Born Again' is the thirteenth album by Black Sabbath. It is the only album the group recorded with lead vocalist Ian Gillan, best known for his work with Deep Purple. It was also the last Black Sabbath album for nine years to feature original bassist Geezer Butler and the last to feature original drummer Bill Ward. The album has received mixed reviews from critics, but was a commercial success upon its 1983 release, reaching No. 4 in the U.K. charts.

'Live & Loud' is a live album recorded by Ozzy Osbourne. At the time, it was to be Osbourne's final album following his final tour before retiring, aptly titled "No More Tours". The track "Black Sabbath" featured the original line-up of Black Sabbath, the members of which were invited to join Ozzy as guest stars for the Costa Mesa Reunion shows.

Iommi
|
|
'Iommi' is the debut solo studio album by Tony Iommi. The album took nearly five years to make. All of the songs were written by Iommi, producer Bob Marlette and the respective vocalists of each track (except "Black Oblivion", which was written by Iommi and Billy Corgan). According to Iommi, he and Phil Anselmo had recorded three tracks together for the album, but only one was put onto the album. Iommi has also said he "wrote a couple of tracks with Billy Idol and two with Billy Corgan, but you know, we could only use one of each".
