Music From 'The Elder'
[Album]

16 September 1981

'Music From 'The Elder'' is the ninth studio album by KISS. The album marked a substantial departure from their previous output with the concept and orchestral elements. It was the first album with the drummer Eric Carr and the last album to feature guitarist Ace Frehley until their 1996 reunion. Due to poor sales, KISS did not embark on a supporting tour for the first time in its eight-year history, opting instead to make a handful of promotional appearances.

Creatures Of The Night
[Album]

28 October 1982

'Creatures Of The Night' is the tenth studio album by KISS. It was the band's last for Casablanca Records, the only label for which KISS had recorded up to that point. The album was dedicated to the memory of Casablanca founder and early KISS supporter Neil Bogart, who had died of cancer during the recording sessions. It is also the band's last album recorded with Ace Frehley credited as an official member and their first album with Vinnie Vincent, as the initially uncredited lead guitarist. It was also KISS' last album to feature the band with their trademark makeup until the release of 'Psycho Circus' in 1998.

'Lick It Up' is the eleventh studio album by KISS. Before its 1983 release, the band members appeared on MTV without their trademark make-up. It was the first public appearance without make-up by the band, and their first for Mercury Records, where they had been signed following their departure from Casablanca Records. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA for selling over a million units in the U.S.

Crazy Nights
[Album]

21 September 1987

'Crazy Nights' is the fourteenth studio album by KISS. This was the second album to feature the line-up of Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Bruce Kulick, and Eric Carr. The album is notable for its pop-metal or glam-rock sound as well as for its use of keyboards and synthesizers (unlike previous KISS albums) - a reflection of popular trends in the commercial rock genre of this time.

Doro

Doro
Doro
[Album]

25 September 1990

'Doro' is the second solo album by Doro. Doro chose for herself a new musical direction, consciously separating the music creative process from normal band dynamics, the contrary of what she had always done in the past with Warlock. The album production was put in the hands of KISS bassist Gene Simmons, Doro's childhood idol. The resulting sound is much smoother and polished than any Warlock album, in the vein of many American glam metal recordings of the time, and the lyrics give up completely the gothic atmosphere present in the offerings of Doro Pesch's previous band. Despite the commercial appeal of the music and the high economic effort in producing it, the album did not have the critical and sales success that was expected and remained the last studio album by Doro published in the United States for ten years.

8 June 2004

'Asshole' is the second solo studio album by Gene Simmons. Its controversial title does not appear on the front cover. On the side of the CD case the title reads "asshole". "It's just another way of me saying, 'I don't care what anyone says about me," Simmons declared. "I'm preempting what people say and therefore diffusing the power of my detractors."
