Mother Love Bone
Apple [Album]
19 July 1990
'Apple' is the only studio album by Mother Love Bone. Days before the album was slated to be released, lead singer Andrew Wood overdosed on heroin. After a number of days in hospital in a coma, he died, effectively bringing Mother Love Bone to an end. The delayed album would see release later that year in July, and it eventually peaked at number 34 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart in 1992.

Pearl Jam
Ten [Album]
27 August 1991
'Ten' is the debut studio album by Pearl Jam. Following the dissolution of their previous band Mother Love Bone in 1990, bassist Jeff Ament and guitarist Stone Gossard began rehearsing with new guitarist Mike McCready. The group recorded a five-song instrumental demo tape that included contributions from Matt Cameron on drums. Copies of the demo were eventually given to drummer Dave Krusen and vocalist Eddie Vedder, both of whom were invited to audition for the band in Seattle. Many of the songs on Ten were instrumental jams or reworked Mother Love Bone songs for which Vedder provided lyrics. The album was not an immediate commercial success, but by late 1992, it had reached number two on the Billboard 200. Beyond its role in consolidating the mainstream success of grunge rock in the early 1990s, the album is generally considered to have been instrumental in the rise and dominance of alternative rock throughout the decade. It has since been ranked by several publications as one of the greatest albums of all time. By February 2013, it had sold 13 million copies in the U.S., becoming the 22nd record to do so in the Nielsen SoundScan era, and has been certified 13? Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

'Vs.' (pronounced 'Versus') is the second studio album by Pearl Jam. It featured a rawer and more aggressive sound compared with the band's previous release, 'Ten' (1991). It was the band's first collaboration with the producer Brendan O'Brien and its first album with the drummer Dave Abbruzzese. Upon its release, the album sold 950,378 copies in its first five days on sale, which set the record for most copies of an album sold during its first week. It occupied the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart for five weeks, the longest duration for a Pearl Jam album. It has been certified 7? platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of at least seven million copies in the United States.

Pearl Jam
No Code [Album]
27 August 1996
'No Code' is the fourth studio album by Pearl Jam. Following a troubled tour for its previous album, 'Vitalogy' (1994), in which Pearl Jam engaged in a much-publicized boycott of Ticketmaster, the band went into the studio to record its follow-up. The music on the record was more diverse than what the band had done on previous releases, incorporating elements of garage rock and worldbeat. Although No Code debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making it their third consecutive number one album, it left a large section of the band's fanbase unsatisfied and quickly fell down the charts. Critical reviews were also mixed, with praise to the musical variety but criticism to the album's inconsistency. The album became the first Pearl Jam album to not reach multi-platinum status, receiving a single platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the United States.
