Reimagined |
I am a constant revisionist when it comes to my music collection, and I also like to have all tracks neatly in one place. For this reason I have put together my own 'Deluxe Edition' of each album by The Beatles.
Although I haven't limited myself just to the remastered releases (or even official ones), I have avoided having multiple takes of each song for no real reason. This is about providing a great listening experience, not an attempt to collect every recording known to exist.

- The Beatles - Bésame Mucho [EMI Artist Test, 6 June 1962, Mono] (02:37)
- Author(s): Consuelo Velázquez / Sunny Skylar.
- Originally recorded by: Consuelo Velázquez possibly as early as 1940.
- Recorded: 6 June 1962 (Wednesday), in Studio Two or Three at EMI's Abbey Road Studios. An unknown number of Takes were recorded between 6.00pm and 8.00pm. A mono mix was made from an unknown Take, presumably on the same day.
- From Mark Lewison's 'The Beatles Recording Sessions' (1989) "Memories are equally blurred about whether the session was actually an artist test (to see if the group were any good), a commercial test (to see if the group could work well inside a recording studio) or even the group's first session proper. The
relevant studio documentation has long since been destroyed, although an artist test was the most likely event.".
