What equipment is my Character carrying?

Equipment

Adventurers need equipment!

As a mighty warrior you can choose to carry any weapons you like, within reason that is. Firstly you have to be able to afford them, and secondly - you have to be able to lift them! But maybe you are a mighty spellcaster that requires no sword? Great - but you'll still need other equipment, like a spellbook and wizard robes.

As mentioned earlier, each class has proficiencies in certain types of weapons and armor. For example, a barbarian likes simple weapons and light or medium armor as opposed to a paladin who prefers large weapons and heavy armor. You can choose any weapon or armor with any class, but you will be using them with a penalty if it isn't really suited to you.

Your character will usually start with a small amount of coin, and can buy items any time you find something for sale. Many merchants in the worlds of Dungeons & Dragons are also happy to allow a trade of your older equipment, but they will always drive a hard bargain.

Every character should carry at least one weapon, even if you are a spellcaster. Weapons range from small items like darts and daggers, to large two-handed swords and crossbows.

There are also various armor types available, including leathers, chainmail, breastplates and shields. Wearing armor will make it harder for an enemy to hurt your character.

Write down a few ideas on your slowly developing character sheet of what sort of equipment and weapons you want your character to carry.
